1. Defined Terms:

1.1 The defined terms in this Agreement are as follows:

The “Authority” refers to King Fahd Causeway Authority, or any other entity that it affiliates with, establishes, or owns.

The “Agreement” refers to all Terms and Conditions or T&Cs related to any Platform used by the Authority, including the applicable Laws, Regulations, and Practices, along with any modifications to the Agreement, as necessary, under Section (8).

“Applicable Laws, Regulations, and Practices” refers to the relevant laws and regulations, along with the applicable policies, notifications, guidelines, and appendixes that appear on the Platform or are mentioned within this Agreement.

The “Platform” refers to the Mobile Application, or the Official Website related to King Fahd Causeway Authority, or any other Platform used by the Authority.

“Authority” or “Our” or “Ours” refers to King Fahd Causeway Authority - or any entity that it affiliates with, establishes, or owns - as a service provider.

The “User” or “You” or “Yours” refers to the individual who uses the Platform's Services whether with or without registration.

The “E-Wallet” refers to the account you create on the Platform to benefit from the provided services.

The “Ticket” or “One Time Pass” or “OTP” refers to the ticket or tickets you purchase through the Platform.

The “Platform’s Services” refers to all the features provided by the Platform under this Agreement, as mentioned in Section (3.1).

“Kingdoms” refers to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

2. Registration:

2.1 To access all the services available on the Platform, you must register on the Platform, ensuring that the provided information is correct, valid, and up-to-date throughout use.

 

2.2 The Authority has the right to cancel your account for any reason, including your violation of the Terms and Conditions of use. The Authority may also terminate this agreement at any time, without prior notice, and for any reason, if necessary.

3. Platform Services:

3.1 The Platform provides the following services:

E-JESR Prepaid Service to pass the toll gates of King Fahd Causeway without stopping, whether by purchasing a One Ticket Pass or more in advance.

E-Wallet Service to charge and recharge your wallet balance with the amount to be used for multiple trips, and you can review your wallet balance and transaction history.

JESR-Plus Service to purchase a ticket to pass the JESR-Plus lane based on the relevant T&Cs.

Vehicle Management Service to add and manage your vehicles directly on the Platform.

Insurance Management Service to purchase your vehicle insurance policy and extend it with multiple options for the duration of the insurance.

Live streaming service to watch a live broadcast of the causeway and know the traffic status.

Average Crossing Time Service to know the expected crossing time in the procedural areas.

Roadside Assistance Service to support in case of a vehicle breakdown, fuel depletion, or in the event of an accident.

4. Use of the Platform:

4.1 You must ensure that the information you provide while using the Platform is correct to receive accurate and reliable services.

 

4.2 You can pay through the Platform using any of the following methods:

Charge or recharge your E-wallet through the “E-Wallet” icons (using this method requires registration and allows you to pass the toll gates through E-JESR Lane as per point (4.3)).

Prepay for an OTP through the “E-JESR Prepaid” icons (using this method doesn’t require registration and allows you to pass the toll gates through E-JESR Lane as per point (4.3)).

Prepay for a JESR Plus Ticket through the “JESR Plus” icon (using this method doesn’t require registration or allows you to pass the toll gates through E-JESR Lane as per point (4.3)).

If you are unable to pay through the platform due to insufficient balance in your E-Wallet, a malfunction in the platform's system, or any other reason, you can use cash payment or any other payment channels available in the toll gates.

4.3 If the payment is made through the Platform, then:

Your license plate will be read automatically.

The transit fee will be automatically deducted from your balance on the platform. In case of multiple balances, priority is given to deduct from the OTP balance, then the E-Wallet balance.

4.4 The user is responsible for the banking fees associated with the payment channels - if any - in case the payment was made through the Platform or not.

 

4.5 Your OTP balance and E-Wallet balance are valid according to these Terms & Conditions.

 

4.6 Your JESR Plus ticket balance is valid according to the relevant Terms & Conditions.

 

4.7 All amounts paid through the Platform or charged to your E-Wallet are non-refundable and non-transferable.

 

4.8 In case you add more than one vehicle on the platform, you can select one of your vehicles as the default when passing through the toll gates.

With regard to the Vehicles’ Insurance: 4.9 The User is encouraged to purchase insurance through the platform to ensure easy access to necessary coverage. If insurance is not purchased through the platform, the Authority does not bear any responsibility for the cost of coverage for the vehicle.

4.10 The Authority is an intermediary in selling insurance policies. You can contact the relevant insurance company regarding the issued policy if needed.

4.11 If there is an incorrect deduction from your E-Wallet or Tickets balance, you must notify the Authority immediately through the communication channels on the platform to take the necessary action. The Authority is not responsible for any incorrect transactions or amounts if not reported to us immediately.

5. Use of the Platform:

5.1 While using the Platform, you must adhere to the following:

Users are prohibited from accessing, monitoring, or copying any content or information on the Platform using automated tools such as robots, spiders, scrapers, or other similar methods, or by any manual means, for any purpose, unless written authorization has been obtained by the Authority.

The platform must not be used for commercial purposes unless explicitly permitted by the Authority.

Users are prohibited from selling, reselling, or renting their access rights to the Platform.

Users must not remove, disable, or damage any security or technical features or controls that have been implemented (such as those preventing or restricting access to the platform or limiting the use of the application or any of its contents, networks, or servers), nor should they engage in any activities that may disrupt or potentially disrupt the Platform's infrastructure, as determined solely by the Authority.

Users are prohibited from creating or using false identities or impersonating others on the Platform.

Users must not tamper with data, engage in hacking activities, or attempt to corrupt, or disable any security measures in place.

The platform must not be used in any way that violates applicable laws, regulations, or rules in force within both Kingdoms or any other relevant laws and regulations.

6. Privacy and Data Protection:

6.1 All personal data provided through the Platform will be handled in accordance with the privacy policy adopted by the Authority.

7. External Links:

7.1 Your use of any third-party platform through the Authority’s Platforms is subject to the terms and conditions imposed by third parties.

8. Acceptance of the Agreement:

8.1 The terms & conditions apply to users of the Platform, as your use of the platform constitutes your implicit agreement to be bound by the agreement throughout the period of use.

 

8.2 These Terms and Conditions must be read in conjunction with any other relevant T&Cs on the Platform, which form an integral part of them.

 

8.3 We reserve the right to modify the agreement without prior notice, and your continued use of the Platform constitutes your implicit acceptance of the modified Terms and Conditions.

 

8.4 These Terms and Conditions are subject to the applicable laws and regulations.
