What is Open Data?

البيانات المفتوحة هي تلك البيانات التي يُمكن لأي فرد استخدامها بحرية ودون قيود تقنية أو مالية أو قانونية، وأيضًا إعادة استخدامها ونشرها مع مراعاة متطلبات الرخصة القانونية التي تم نشر هذه البيانات بموجبها رخصة البيانات المفتوحة .

تسهم البيانات الحكومية المفتوحة في تعزيز الشفافية وإتاحة المعلومات، بما يمكّن المستفيدين من الاستفادة منها في مجالات متعددة، من أبرزها:

• الاستفادة من البيانات في إجراء الأبحاث العلمية، وإعداد التقارير، وطرح الملاحظات والآراء.
• تعزيز الشفافية وفهم المؤشرات العامة والخدمات المتاحة.
• توفير الوقت والجهد من خلال إتاحة البيانات بشكل مفتوح ومنظم.

Open data refers to data that can be freely used by anyone without technical, financial, or legal restrictions. It can also be reused and republished in accordance with the legal license under which the data was released, namely the Open Data License .

Open government data contributes to enhancing transparency and making information accessible, enabling beneficiaries to make use of it in various fields, most notably:

• Utilizing data for conducting scientific research, preparing reports, and presenting feedback and opinions.
• Enhancing transparency and understanding public indicators and available services.
• Saving time and effort by providing data in an open and well-organized manner.

تُعد منصة البيانات المفتوحة في المملكة العربية السعودية إحدى المبادرات الوطنية المهمة، وتهدف إلى إنشاء قاعدة بيانات حكومية موحدة، ووضع إطار إستراتيجي يعزز مبادئ الشفافية، ويدعم المشاركة الإلكترونية، ويحفّز الابتكار. ويتمثل الدور الأساسي للبوابة في نشر مجموعات البيانات التابعة للوزارات والمؤسسات الحكومية بصيغة بيانات مفتوحة، وإتاحتها لكافة المستفيدين بما يحقق أقصى استفادة ممكنة.

It aims to establish a unified government data repository and develop a strategic framework that promotes transparency principles, supports electronic participation, and stimulates innovation. The primary role of the platform is to publish datasets belonging to institutions and government entities in the form of open data and make them available to all beneficiaries in a way that ensures maximum possible benefit.
